The Royal Welsh Show ground, which hosts many events throughout the year, is 10 miles away, just outside of Builth Wells.
The Small Breeds Farm and Owl centre is just outside of Kington is a great place to take the family.
Beautiful gardens and tea rooms set in the heart of the Welsh Marches.
The Spaceguard Centre is hugely interesting, and set in a secluded, dark sky site ideal for astronomy. With a well-timed visit you may be able to catch a lecture from the experts.
